Artist Trading Card (ATC) Maquette’s

Heads are one of my favorite subjects to sculpt. I formed these as a part of an artist trading card (ATC) show for use as maquettes. This work is usually a challenge as it must be no larger than the size of a baseball card. These heads are no exception and due to their small scale they are formed using a paperboard and foil base with polymer clay over the support.

These are two, yet to be adorned, pieces titled Bliss & Pablo. (paperboard, foil, and polymer clay)
Maryann Lost Victor

(acrylic paint, polymer clay, foil, paperboard, and goat hair)

My girlfriend’s beloved dog, Victor, had died and this is how I imagined her suffering without him during that cold Alaskan winter.

Purgatory of Drugs

(acrylic paint, polymer clay, foil, and paperboard)

I have suffered loving family members who are drug addicts and this piece is the twisted nightmarish purgatory I imagine the addict must swim within regularly.
